Naples WrapRecently, someone asked for my help with the Naples Wrap. So, I grabbed some yarn and set to stitching. I thought I would share some tips with you to help you with it. I didn't notice that there were any mistakes. But, it's kind of a challenging stitch pattern. It gets even more challenging when you take into account that the edges aren't straight. They are diagonal. Stitches are deducted on one side and increased on the other. So, with that said, I definitely want to get you set up with some tips in the event you'd like to make this wrap. The pattern can be found at
NaturallyCaron.com:
Tip #1: Mark the first single crochet of each row with a stitch marker or contrasting piece of yarn. Trust me! This will do wonders!
Tip #2: The diagonal increase on one side isn't a perfectly beautiful increase. It straightens in blocking.
Tip #3: To reduce the length, deduct in increments of 12.
Tip#4: To try a practice swatch, start with a foundation chain of 32.
Tip #5: Although, in the grand scheme of things, it won’t matter all that much, please note that a “chain 1” at the beginning of every Row 2 works better than a “chain 3”.
New PublicationNow, on to other news! I have been told about a recent publication! Yay! MiLady's Frock is apparently on the COVER of the new issue of Quick & Easy Crochet magazine!
Tunisian Crochet VideosI wanted to let you know that I have re-instated the videos I had removed previously. I was asked repeatedly to put them back! But, they all have disclaimers on them. Remember! They're low quality and the intention is that they are not stand-alone. But, they're intended to be used with the written instructions. I have more videos. I may put them up later. Not sure yet.
The Current BookI am moving right along with the book. I finished the most challenging set yesterday. But, there is definitely some light at the end of the tunnel! Yay!
