Infant Santa SuitI've really had to keep this one a secret from you for a very long time! Here, you will see the Santa Suit when I first designed it in about March of 2005. When I first started getting really interested in designing infant clothing was when Christian was just a wee little guy. And, it was always fun when I could put on a little outfit and see that it actually worked and looked adorable. So, I'm finally able to show you this photo.
Next, this adorable baby. Oh, the feet! So cute. The pattern is now published in the September/October 2007 issue of
Quick & Easy Crochet magazine.
Soften Their World Baby AfghanAnd, I just received notification of another design. This one is called "Soften Their World Baby Afghan" and is available by clicking
here. The first photo is my own private photo to show you more detail.
Pattern Stitch Help on Soften Their World Baby AfghanThis afghan uses a Modified Front Post Double Crochet. Instructions are as follows:
Modified Front Post Double Crochet (Mod FPdc): YO, insert hook from front to back on the side of the st indicated, wrap hook around back of st, then back to the front of work on the other side of st indicated, YO and pull a lp through. YO and pull through 2 lps, insert hook into top of next sc of current row, YO and pull up a lp, YO and pull through 3 lps on hook.Note that there may be an editing problem with the original pattern. You do NOT skip a stitch behind the Front Post Double Crochet the way you do normally. You incorporate the stitch into the Front Post Double Crochet. This avoids the holey, bumpy back side of the afghan the way it is done normally and makes it flat, as shown in the photo. Hope that helps!
Personalized Baby AfghanI've received another afghan photo! The
personalized baby afghan continues to be a very, very popular item!
This one has been made by Michelle S. She tells me, though, that she will probably end up making a new one since the first ultrasound indicated "boy", while the second ultrasound indicated "girl." So, we may be seeing another one by Michelle very soon with more feminine colors.
