New Publications! And, This Time, They're On the Internet for You!

I've been patient!  I haven't told you a thing.  I've been secretive.  I've kept my lips locked and my fingers tied up.  But, it looks like the episodes of Needle Arts Studio with Shay Pendray have now been filmed and the projects are available on the internet!  Woo hoo!

Hugs & Kisses Afghan

This afghan pattern is available on the Coats & Clark website here.  It is made with a beautiful new yarn from Moda Dea called Cherish.  It's sort of a pompadour yarn, with that little nylon twist to it.  But, instead of white nylon, the nylon matches the yarn.  Very pretty stuff!  The above photo is my own private photo, since it's hard to see in the photo on the Coats website.  Since this is in the "TV Projects" section of the website, the photo is something from the program rather than a traditional model only photo.  The internet, though!  Don't we just *love* us some internet?  You can come right here for more information.  Yay!

Sorbet Sweater

And, here, my friends!  Oh, just lookie!  This is my very first submitted and accepted KNIT project!  And, you have the added benefit of simply clicking here for the pattern, available at the Coats & Clark website as well!  I used TLC Cotton Plus for this project.  And, I'm sure you already know the yummy-ness of Cotton Plus!

If you are interested in checking your local listings to see whether The Needle Arts Studio with Shay Pendray is available in your area.  Please visit the website here.

Simpsonized!

And, because I'm a big FOLLOWER, I have Simpsonized the entire family!

You can do it too!  Simpsonize Me!

Christmas is Coming!

I've been thinking about Christmas gifts for Christian.  And, I went straight to Amazon to check on a Sit-N-Spin.  Remember those?  Well, I wanted to get him one and I wanted to make sure he is old enough to have one.  Looks like I'm right on target for that!  I'll be getting this one, I'm sure.  What was interesting is that they now have these toys with a lot of "bling bling" bells and whistles.  Even popular television characters.  I was tempted, let me tell you!  BUT, after reading the reviews!  (Gotta love those reviews!)  I decided just the plain 'ole Sit-N-Spin like I had when I was little was perfect for him!

And I'm going to get him a play kitchen.  My little chef loves to "help" mommy out in the kitchen.  And, it would be great if he could pretend to be doing the same things I'm doing on his own level.  Honestly, he *loves* to cook and help with the dishes.  I mean, the first time he saw me grating cheese, he immediately positioned himself in there so that he could grate cheese as well.  I've got room in the kitchen for a play kitchen.  I just haven't decided on the one I want yet.  Errrr, the one HE WANTS yet.

Current Update on Work

I have three patterns almost completely written and ready to go.  They need a final proof before mailing.  Then, two afghans and the gorgeous mans sweater that I know I will want to devote at least two weeks so that I can savor it.    After that?  I'm not sure.  I've got about half a dozen submissions "in" right now.  And, there are at least a dozen submission projects I'd like to work toward.  So, I figure there will be a lot of swatching and sketching coming up.  And, if I have time, (here's hoping I'll have time!) I will try to update my websites with new projects as well.

So, I'm now off to get to work!  Enjoy your weekend!

Hey Kim! Long time, lol. Nicely done on all your projects! Thanks so much for posting the pic of the afghan, coats seems to never post decent ones and it just turns me off making their stuff! I'm thinking of sharing yours for the next baby CAL if you don't mind ;) Thanks again and congrats!

Thanks for the picture of the blanket, it is hard to see on the CC site. Lovely, as usual :)
