Christian Fish Symbol

A request was made on the Crochet Partners email group for a Christian Fish Symbol to crochet.  And, I thought "Why not?"  After all, I have the Star of David graphed out.  So, just click on the image below to be taken to a filet crochet graph.

Enjoy!

I am fairly new to crochet and have not
attempted filet yet, nor do I plan to
anytime soon, already have enough undone
projects.
I have been searching for Christian symbols
such as this and the cross, but to make into wash cloths. In knitting, I know one
can make designs by knitting and purling; but for crochet how is this possible?

I got your site from crochet partners,
where you told about your baby outfits;
they are magnificent.

So GLAD I found you. Have been truly searching for a Star of David. We are sabbath keepers and this is our emblem.
I had wanted to crochet one for our church.
Thank You very, very much

I created one of these in thread for my DIL.
Leave a long tail and ch 45. Sc in 22 chs, 5 sc in ch 23, sc in rest of chains. Overlap tails where you wish. Weave in 1 thread tail, use other to sew tails tog.

If you turn it vertical, you have a ribbon (pink, yellow, etc) :)
